(Re)Wilding Honeybee Workshop, Tour, and Lunch

Honeybees stand at a threshold. Around the world, their health and future are in question, and our relationship with these remarkable beings asks to be reimagined. How can we best aid their recovery and foster the conditions in which they flourish on their own terms? How might the resilience of the wild reshape contemporary apicultural models?

Join us for an immersive event at Filigreen Farm and Forest, among its living bee nests sited within trees and across the farm. Together we will explore what wild, free-living honeybee colonies reveal about resilience, self-healing, and belonging within a thriving landscape.

The event is guided by colleagues from Apis Arborea, a California nonprofit devoted to wild honeybee conservation through a holistic ecological framework. Its work honoring honeybees as wild, free-living members of a thriving landscape grows from long-term field research, biomimetic nesting structures, and a deep attentiveness to the bees’ own nature.
