Arboreal Apiculture Salon #50
In this Salon, we introduce the Wild Honeybee Atlas, Apis Arborea’s global, participatory platform for the discovery, registration, and long-term monitoring of wild and free-living honeybee colonies. The Atlas invites custodians around the world to record the wild nests they find and to follow them over time, building an open, community-based record of where these bees live and how they endure.
Join us for a conversation about what the Atlas makes possible: a shared map of wild honeybee life across landscapes and continents, grounded in years of field observation and open to everyone who cares for these bees. We will explore how the platform works, how to become a custodian, and how this collective effort deepens our understanding of wild and free-living honeybees.
