Apian Ecologies of Selves –  Exploring the multidimensionality of honeybees

Wild honeybees allow us to enter into their world of interconnectedness of the living landscape. Our experience of witnessing wild honeybees/ Apian Beings transforms the lens through which we approach our work with them. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the nature of the body of the wild Apian Being, their tissues, nest environment, life cycles, impulses such as swarming, birthrights and sentience.  The free expression of will and agency of the wild Apian Being is observed to identify qualities of being that become a “compass point” and inform our Regenerative Apiculture & Wilding principles. The program underscores the integration of “wilding” principles aimed at fostering the self-willed ecological processes of honeybees within local watersheds, communities, and bio-regions.
